Most modern test meters will save the previous hundred or more readings and will allow you to review them or even better - to download them to your PC and look at them graphically. Here is a summary of the main types of test meters and links to some manufacturers sites.
Standard Blood Glucose Test Meters
These range in size, some are smaller than a cigarette packet. Test strips take a drop of blood and give a glucose reading in about five to ten seconds. There is a wide variety to choose from, you should check your health care professional to see what meters are approved for your use.

HbA1c Test Kits

Testing the Test Meter
As with most pieces of sensitive equipment, you should check to see if it is working accurately at regular intervals. A "Control Solution" is used, that has an accurate Glucose level that can be used to check your meter is still giving correct readings. You should check your test meter at the manufacturers suggested intervals.
