There are over the counter preparations to help fight vaginal infections, but your first and main course of action is to improve your blood glucose control, otherwise the infection is likely to come straight back.
Psychological
Obesity is particularly common in Type 2 diabetics and this can cause feelings of not being attractive. You should be targeting weight loss, in the mean time, talk to your partner about your fears and feelings. They probably have no idea you are feeling sensitive about your body, because they love you as you are! If you cannot resolve the issues between yourself, then a professional sex therapists can offer plenty of helpful advice.
